If you answered Yes to one or more of these questions, call our office to ask how Orthotics can help.
What will the orthotics do?
Firstly, they will eliminate unwanted motion. Second, they will support the three arches of the foot. Lastly, the flexible orthotics encourages optimal muscle and nerve function by guiding the feet through a more normal pattern with each step taken.
What is the difference between rigid and Footlevelers flexible orthotics?
Unlike other stabilizing technologies which use rigid materials to force the feet into a theoretical ideal position and may result in muscle atrophy and abnormal nerve proprioception, Foot Levelers Orthotics allow controlled, supported movement for the dynamic human body.
What happens if I have no pain or problems with my feet, do I still need them?
Yes, there still can be great benefit. We would still recommend for you to come into our office and get a scan of your foot to see if there is any premature collapse of the three arches in your foot. A weakened foundation may seriously affect the rest of your body.
What are the most typical problems with the foot?
Pronation: Some foot bones drop to a less stable position if the foot arches are too weak to keep them properly aligned, increasing stress on arch. Plantar Fascitis: An irritation to the elastic tissue that runs the length of the foot. Heel Spurs: Deposits of calcium on the heel bone, feet can become tired and achy.
