After finishing a pre-medical program at university of 3 to 4 years. The Doctor of Chiropractic post graduate program is an intensive 4 years of full time studies. The first two years parallel any medical school with courses in anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, embryology, and histology. The last two years focus more on clinical sciences, chiropractic technique, nutrition, biomechanics, bone pathology, rehabilitation, neuro-musculoskeletal conditions as well as practical clinical experience.In order to be licensed in the province of Alberta, after completion of a 4-year chiropractic program, each candidate must successfully pass 2 sets of national board exams one written (which includes 6 exams) and one practical exam.
In order to be licensed in the US, graduates of chiropractic programs must also complete written and practical exams. Some states in the US, such as Oregon, also require further testing. Dr.Kanji is still licensed to practice in the US and in Oregon.
